本作《WAVE》は、シリーズの中でも特に、光によって表情を変えるシルバーの揺らぎが印象的な一作です。使用しているのはあくまでシルバーの塗料のみであり、青の塗料は一切用いられていません。しかし、光の角度や鑑賞距離によって、銀色が青を帯びて立ち上がるように見える現象が生まれ、可視光の作用そのものが作品の一部として表現されています。
