MANDALAは、神社の狛犬様の渦巻き模様から着想を得たシリーズ。整然とした円環を思い浮かべますが、本作は中心へと向かう渦は閉じることなく、静かに広がり続けます。幾層にも重ねられ、焼き、削られた塗膜が生む独特の質感。深い黒と、やわらかく光を返す銀が交わることで、キャンバス上にしっとりとした奥行きが生まれました。
強く語らず、それでいて視線を引き戻す。

MANDALA is a series inspired by the swirling patterns of guardian lion-dogs found at Shinto shrines. While the word “mandala” often evokes a perfectly ordered circle, in this work the vortex moving toward the center never fully closes, but instead continues to expand in quiet resonance.
Layer upon layer of paint has been applied, fired, and carved away, creating a distinctive surface texture. The interplay between deep black and softly reflective silver gives rise to a moist, contemplative depth across the canvas.
It does not speak loudly, yet it gently draws the viewer’s gaze back again and again.
A work that brings a quiet center of gravity to any space.
