ストラトキャスター・タイプのビンテージ・エレクトリックギターにUNDULATIONを施したまさに記念すべき第1号モデルがこちらです。シルバーに染まった最終表面の下にはグリーン / ブルー / パープル / ネイビー等々のスパークルカラーが縦横無尽に駆け巡ります。ギターのボディー全面に走るその紋様の数々は、不規則でありまた激しい流れを有する集合体かの様に見えますが、じっとその佇まいを見入るに付け、実は「静と動」また「陰と陽」とされるその相反する要素の全てが一つの世界に混在し、そして遂に双方が共に還流を果たそうしているかの様な尋常では無い感覚に襲われます。またこのUNDULATIONの表現には一見西洋風のアプローチがなされているかの様に映るかも知れませんが、「侘び寂び」と称される日本人特有の美意識や概念こそがこの表現の全ての根底を成している事をお伝えさせて頂きます。

Title: UNDULATION – Stratocaster Type No.1

This is the very first commemorative model featuring UNDULATION, applied to a vintage Stratocaster-style electric guitar. Beneath the shimmering silver surface lies a vibrant interplay of sparkle colors—green, blue, purple, navy, and more—flowing dynamically across the body in all directions.

The patterns that ripple across the entire surface appear at first to be a chaotic and vigorous collection of forms. Yet, the longer one gazes upon them, the more a sense of harmony emerges—as if opposing forces such as stillness and movement, light and shadow, coexist within the same world and are on the verge of converging into a singular, unified flow.

While the expression of UNDULATION might initially seem to reflect a Western artistic approach, its essence is deeply rooted in the uniquely Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi—a philosophy that embraces imperfection, transience, and subtle beauty.
