This artwork is centered on deep black tones, in which line-like hues of pink and blue emerge through the act of carving, creating a quiet yet dynamic presence. The layered surfaces, revealed by careful abrasion, shift subtly with changes in light, evoking a sense of depth and nuanced emotion. The black spiral symbols placed at the top and bottom of the composition are inspired by komainu, traditional guardian figures, lending the work both stability and a quiet tension.
