本作《MANDALA 星月夜 ― ゴッホに捧ぐ / F30号》は、フィンセント・ファン・ゴッホの名作《星月夜》へのオマージュとして制作された作品です。熊本県の木材で作られた額は、彫刻家・吉村形による特注品で、作品を立体的に支えています。青色に見える箇所は、クワイ華が誇る塗装技術によって、ナノ化されたシルバー粒子の配列を精緻に操作することで生まれたものであり、可視光の中でも青の波長のみに反応する特別な表情を宿します。それは空や海、夕暮れに染まる青紫の空と響き合う、自然界に存在する“純然たる青”。曼荼羅的構成の中で、ゴッホの情熱とUNDULATIONの技法が静かに交差する一点です。

This work was created as an homage to Vincent van Gogh’s masterpiece The Starry Night. The frame, crafted from wood sourced in Kumamoto Prefecture, is a bespoke piece by sculptor Kei Yoshimura, lending the work a subtle sculptural presence and supporting it three-dimensionally within the space.
The areas that appear blue are the result of Kuwai Hana’s signature painting technique, in which the alignment of nano-sized silver particles is meticulously controlled. Through this process, the particles are altered to respond exclusively to the blue wavelengths within visible light, producing a distinctive visual effect. The blue that emerges is not pigment in the conventional sense, but a manifestation of pure blue light—echoing the color of the sky, the sea, and the violet-blue hues of dusk.
Within its mandala-like composition, van Gogh’s emotional intensity quietly intersects with the refined techniques of UNDULATION, forming a work of deep resonance and contemplative depth.
