Titled “Sakura Nagashi,” this work captures the moment when soft, flowing lines reminiscent of cherry blossom petals carried on a spring breeze resonate with the undulating rhythm of the dragon in motion. At its heart lies a childhood memory of “cherry blossoms and a dragon” that Hana Kawai once encountered, transforming a deeply personal landscape from her early years into a work of art. The dragon, a timeless symbol of strength and protection, meets the delicate imagery of cherry blossoms born from a personal memory.
